General Information

Nature Photographers of Colorado is a unique network of amateur and professional photographers who share a passion for photographing the natural wonders of Colorado. This Web site was created by photographers for photographers — to provide a place to share, learn and interact with other Colorado photographers.

Participation in the group, the forums and events is open to those who love to photograph Colorado's diverse landscape and abundant wildlife. Whether you are an amateur or seasoned pro; a local or frequent visitor, you are invited to join the only online community dedicated solely to Colorado nature photography. Our lively forums provide a fun, friendly and professional atmosphere for sharing photos, chatting about our favorite Colorado places, sharing recent Colorado experiences, discussing the photographic process and so much more.

Nature Photographers of Colorado is the brainchild of Darren Kilgore and Jesse Speer. After kicking around the concept for over a year, the two photographers launched this forum Web site.

2) The forums should not be used to discuss politics, religion or other sensitive/unrelated subjects. Discussions should remain courteous and respectful, to encourage a friendly atmosphere within the forums. Lively debates and honest feedback are welcome within the spirit of these guidelines.

3) No advertising is permitted in the forums. Members may include self-promotional text and links within signature lines, including commercial products and services. Posting notices about workshops, shows, openings, signings and other related events is allowed by members.

8) You must be the original copyright owner for any image that you post.

9) If animals are photographed in captivity, please state so in your post.

11) Honest comments are welcome and encouraged within image evaluations, but please maintain a friendly and constructive atmosphere.

12) "Image Requests" from magazines and other publications MAY NOT be posted in the forums. If you feel that others may benefit from hearing about an image request, please post a message describing the photo(s) needed and request that any interested members contact you privately directly via email or private messaging. DO NOT post email messages you have received directly from photo editors and photo buyers, including any sensitive business information.

The forum moderators reserve the right to edit any post that does not follow the general guidelines of this Web site.
