Does anyone know what the road conditions are this time of year along 67 and 97?

I've been wanting to get into the canyon but have been unsure of what to expect. These roads are dirt in many sections and I'm wondering what the maintenance is like. Specifically on 97 from the 67 junction to the "town" of South Platte.

Mel, that road is usually kept open by the county because there are year-round houses all along that road.
